How To Bake A Perfect Fruit Cake

  1. Basic Fruit Cake

This minimalist yet scrumptious fruit cake can be the perfect accompaniment to your Christmas gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Jaiphal (Nutmeg) Powder
  • 200 gms Maida (All Purpose Flour)
  • 50 ml Warm Water
  • 150 gms Chopped Dry Fruits
  • 150 ml Aerated Soda
  • 75 gms Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dalchini (Cinnamon) Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 100 gms butter

Recipe

  1. Set the oven to 180 C.
  2. Take an 8″ round cake pan that should be greased with oil. Then dust it lightly with Maida so that the cake doesn’t stick to the base of the pan once cooked.
  3. In a skillet or pan, heat sugar until it melts and turns brown. Once done, add warm water; set aside.
  4. Sieve maida, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg twice or thrice.
  5. Further, coat the chopped dry fruits with 1 tablespoon of maida.
  6. Combine Nestlé MILKMAID and softened butter in a bowl. Alternately fold in the aerated soda and the caramel syrup along with the dry ingredients. Add the chopped dry fruits and gently fold them into the batter.
  7. Bake the batter for around 45 minutes at 180° C in the oiled cake pan. Once done, take it out of the oven and let it cool.
  8. Cut into desired pieces and serve.
  1. Eggless Banana Cake

Bananas have a delightful sweetness. This could be an absolute surprise for vegetarians with some yummy twists.

Ingredients

  • 2 Mashed Bananas
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 75 ml Nestlé a+ Nourish Dahi (Curd)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 50 gms Softened Butter
  • 200gms Maida (All Purpose Flour)

Recipe

  1. Set the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Grease a cake pan with oil and then lightly dust with Maida.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Blend in Nestlé MILKMAID and softened butter until creamy.
  5. Whisk thoroughly after adding dahi.
  6. Mix maida, baking soda, and baking powder in a sieve.
  7. Mash up some bananas and fold them into the MILKMAID mixture. Follow with the vanilla essence.
  8. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven or until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
  9. After five minutes of letting it cool, transfer it to a serving plate.
  10. Slice, then serve.
  1. Cupcakes

Cupcakes are relished by adults and kids alike. With this magical cupcake recipe, you can impress one and all.

Ingredients

For cupcakes-

  • 3/4 cup maida
  • 1/2 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 6 tbsp Melted Butter
  • 3/4 tsp Baking Powder

For frosting

  • 4 tbsp Softened Butter
  • 3 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Recipe

  1. For the cupcake recipe, mix sieved maida, baking powder, and baking soda together.
  2. In a bowl, combine Nestlé MILKMAID, butter, and vanilla essence. Next, mix MILKMAID mixture into the sieved ingredients.
  3. Fill the molds 3/4 full with batter, then bake at 150°C for 20 minutes or until done.
  4. For the frosting, blend in the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder and whisk until smooth and light.
  5. Put frosting in a piping bag, then decorate the cupcakes. Serve immediately.
